Tar Heels Dip to #12 in This Week's AP and Coaches Top 25 Polls

Note:  Even though I will post BOTH the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll, I will only give insight into the AP Top 25 each week.

USA Today Coaches Poll

Due to its loss suffered at the hands of then-unranked Butler Bulldogs, UNC fell from the 5th to 12th ranking in the latest AP and Coaches Top 25 polls.  Carolina did rebound to defeat then-#22 UCLA and then-#18 Florida; pushing those two teams out of the polls.

ACC teams in this week's poll are:

4.   Dook  (7-0)
5.   Louisville  (5-0)
7.   Virginia  (7-0)
12. UNC  (5-1)
15. Miami (Fl)  (7-0)

Kentucky remained the top dog this week, receiving 62 of 65 1st place votes.  #2 Wisconsin received the other 3 first-place votes.  Arizona stays put at #3.  Dook & Louisville finish out the Top 5.

Five teams dropped out of the AP Top 25 making room for Five Newbies.  Here's how it shook out:

Syracuse, NC State, & Notre Dame all received votes; however, each team's total votes did not propel them into this week's Top 25.
